Tiva Fans Rejoice! Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo Reunite for New NCIS Spinoff
Longtime fans of the "NCIS" power couple Tony and Ziva, also known as "Tiva," are in for a treat. Paramount+ has officially ordered a new spinoff series bringing back Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo to reprise their beloved roles.
This marks the first time the duo will share the screen since 2013. Weatherly and Pablo will not only star in the untitled series but also serve as executive producers alongside John McNamara, who penned the pilot episode and will act as showrunner.
The series picks up with Tony and Ziva raising their daughter, Tali, in Europe , via TVLine. However, their tranquil life is disrupted when an attack on Tony's security company forces them to go on the run. As they navigate the continent, they must not only uncover who's after them but also rebuild trust and find their "unconventional happily ever after."
In a joint statement, Weatherly and Pablo expressed their excitement for the project, acknowledging the unwavering support from "Tiva" fans over the years: "We've been talking about this story for many years, and now with John McNamara at the helm, we are ready... This is for you!"
Showrunner McNamara shared his enthusiasm for joining the "NCIS" universe and exploring new avenues within the franchise, highlighting the unique opportunity to film in Europe. While he remained tight-lipped about the series title, he jokingly referenced the Espionage Act, piquing fans' curiosity.
Production for the spinoff is set to begin later this year in Europe. No official release date has been announced yet.
