'Yellowstone' Season 5 Episode 12: Highlights, Dramatic Moments and Puzzling Questions, From Colby's Unexpected Passing to Kayce Holding a Kid at Gunpoint

This week's episode of Yellowstone was jam-packed with two seriously shocking moments. First up, we lost Colby (Denim Richards). Talk about a major plot twist! And then, towards the end, Kayce (Luke Grimes) took matters into his own hands against his father's killer. Brace yourself as we dive into this episode that had us all shook up:

• Ouch，Teeter (Jennifer Landon) and Colby's sweet voice call made my heart melt.
• It's always fascinating when Taylor Sheridan randomly appears in episodes. I've started referring to him as "That's Taylor Sheridan" like Leonardo DiCaprio in "Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood".
• Haha, Taylor Sheridan's shock at learning John Dutton (Kevin Costner) is no longer among us. "Seriously? What's going on?" "You know better than me… "
• Is this money making scheme feasible? I only wonder if you'd need to sell your herd to pay those Montana land taxes. Guess I missed that day in high school.
• Boy oh boy… Jamie (Wes Bentley) totally lost it minute he learned about Sarah (Dawn Olivieri). Staying composed in such situations is hard!
• Why am I under the impression Jamie’s shredder runs non-stop? Has there ever been a man with so many dubious papers?
• Hey, that food spread looks tasty!
• How did Kayce spot Grant Horton (Matt Gerald) as the hitman so quickly? Not a bad detective, our Kayce!
• Tate (Brecken Merrill) deserves to be ejected from the Dutton family. He’s constantly so abrasive! Sure, he’s a troubled teenager, but with the Duttons currently in hot water, Tate needs to chill out!
• "The best lies are 90% truth, and I'm a top-notch liar." Beth (Kelly Reilly) may sound wise, but I'm still pondering her words…
• Man, Colby, you risked your life helping Carter (Finn Little)! But hey, it seemed pretty painful!
• Shouldn't Carter have shot that horse a bit quicker? After all, wasn't he just… fooling around?Eep, Colby's DEAD?!
• Crackling，Ryan's (Ian Bohen) "Bad to the Bone" ringtone is hilarious.
• Teeter and Ryan's heartfelt tribute to Colby was really touching. Landon and Bohen nailed their acting chops.
• I hope they respectfully take Colby's remains to a funeral home rather than chucking them off a cliff at the station.
• Beth, maybe discussing getting knocked up isn't the best timing with Carter in earshot, yeah? Just saying.
• Adoring Grant being a goofball soccer dad.
• Ugh, Kayce aiming his gun directly at Grant's kiddo. Nasty!
• "Start the engine or clean up this mess." Now, I'm convinced Kayce could go through with such a bad decision.
• Wow, this is totally becoming one of the show’s legendary scenes. Kayce was absolutely terrifying!
